Every dollar you earn, spend, invest and owe

One app for everything you do with money. Your accounts and spending, your investments, and a trading bot you run yourself - with your company's books, your accounting and your tax return on the way. All of it against a server you own, not somebody's cloud.

00 / Coverage

Six jobs.
One app, one login.

Money does not arrive in separate apps, so Manu does not keep it in separate apps. Three of these work today. Three are being built, and they say so.

01 / Money

Every account, every dollar,
in one ledger you own.

01 / Bank sync

Connect once, sync every six hours

Link accounts through Plaid, through SimpleFIN, or by pointing Manu at a bank's own OFX server - and import OFX and QFX statements by hand when a bank supports nothing else. Balances, transactions and credit card statement details land on your server, not in a third party's database.

02 / Spending

Your own categories, applied in bulk to matching transactions. Tap a bar to see the receipts behind it.

03 / Budgets

A number per category, a line per month

Set a budget, watch the month fill up, and get a nudge before it does rather than after.

04 / Goals

Projected, not guessed

Set a target and a date. Manu projects the path from your real savings rate and tells you what to change if it will not get there.

02 / Investing

An allocation you can
actually explain.

01 / Target allocation

A plan, from a short questionnaire

Answer a handful of questions about horizon and risk, get a target allocation with the reasoning attached, and keep it as the yardstick.

02 / Drift

See it move away from plan

The bot trades, the market moves, and the real split stops matching the target. Manu shows the gap as it opens instead of at year end.

Largest gapUS equity+6%

03 / Performance

Per account, net of costs

Account values straight from the broker, an equity curve you can scrub, and returns measured after fees and commissions rather than before.

03 / Trading

See what the bot sees.
Steer it from your pocket.

01 / Live dashboard

Today's P&L, every account, every strategy

Realized and open P&L split by live and test, gainers versus losers, account values straight from the broker, the day's watchlist, and a leaderboard of which strategy is carrying the day. It refreshes over a live connection, so what you see is what the bot has.

PPhoenix9 trades+$418
SSpaceJam3 trades / test-$96
02 / Test or Live

One switch per strategy

Paper-trade a new idea next to the real book, then promote it when the numbers hold up. The flip applies instantly.

03 / Grades

Teach the model with a tap

Each day the bot screens its tickers. You grade them A to F; your grades become the labels it retrains on that night.

AXTX+34% / newsA
LIDR+12%B
PTIR+8% / thinD
04 / Chat

Ask the bot. Tune it. Ship a new strategy from the couch.

The chat tab talks to the bot in plain language. Ask why it exited a position, change a running strategy's stop, or describe a new setup and have it written, tested and scheduled for the next trading day - as a paper strategy until you promote it.

Why did Eagle exit AXTX at 10:14?
Trail stop: price fell 3.1% off the session high after the 10:12 volume spike. Realized +$212 on 600 shares.
05 / Analytics & trade log

Every fill, every event, every metric

Scrub the equity curve, then Sharpe, Sortino, drawdown, fees, best and worst days and a calendar of daily P&L - net of costs. Underneath it, a trade log with entry, exit and grade per position, and an activity feed of what the bot did and why.

06 / Backtests & model health

Check the edge, not the vibe

Run a backtest from the phone, and watch the grader's accuracy and label counts over time so a stale model never hides behind a good week.

What Manu is
still becoming.

These three do not work yet. They are where the app is going, written down so you can hold it to them. Everything above this line ships today.

04 / Business finance

Your company, beside your household

A second set of books under the same login, with its own accounts, categories and reporting - and a hard wall between it and your personal ledger.

Coming
05 / Accounting

Double entry, underneath everything

A real ledger below the pretty charts: journal entries, reconciliation against the bank feed, invoices out, and statements an accountant will accept without rebuilding them.

Coming
06 / Tax filing

Assembled, not reconstructed

By year end Manu already holds the transactions, the trades, the cost basis and the categories. The plan is to turn that into a filing packet instead of a shoebox.

Coming
05 / Setup

Your server does the work.
Manu is the window.

Manu never sees your broker credentials or your bank logins. It signs in to a server you operate and shows you what lives there.

1

Run the server

The Vritam server runs on a machine you control, connected to your banks and your broker. It syncs, screens, trades and grades on its own schedule.

2

Point Manu at it

On the sign-in screen, enter your server address and your login. Manu remembers both in the iOS keychain and nowhere else.

3

Keep the tabs you use

Money, Spending, Investing, Trading, Chat. Rearrange the tab bar to the parts you actually open, and hide the rest.

Good questions

What is Manu?+
An iPhone app meant to hold everything you do with money in one place. Today that is three things: personal finance for your bank accounts and spending, investing for your allocation and performance, and trading for a bot you host yourself. Business finance, accounting and tax filing are being built. One login, one server, one app.
Can Manu do my accounting or file my taxes today?+
No. Business finance, accounting and tax filing are marked Coming everywhere they appear on this site, and none of them work yet. What ships today is personal finance, investing and trading. When that changes, this page changes.
Does Manu trade for me?+
No. Trades are placed by the bot running on your server, through your own broker account. Manu shows you what the bot is doing and lets you steer it: flip a strategy between Test and Live, grade the day's tickers, tune a parameter, or ask it questions in chat.
What is the difference between Test and Live?+
A Test strategy trades on paper inside the bot, with the same signals and the same tape, so you can compare it with the real book before risking money. Live sends orders to the broker. The switch in Manu applies immediately.
What are grades?+
Every day the bot screens a set of tickers and predicts a grade for each. You grade them yourself, A to F, from the phone. Your grades become the labels the bot's model retrains on each evening, and a grade you change during the day can relax or tighten the bot's entries on that name.
Where does my data live?+
On your server. Manu has no cloud of its own, collects no analytics inside the app, and keeps only your login in the iOS keychain. Bank data arrives on your server through Plaid, SimpleFIN or OFX and stays there. Bank usernames and passwords are never stored by Manu; sign-in happens on the provider's own page.
Which banks and brokers work?+
Banks: anything Plaid reaches, anything reachable through SimpleFIN, any bank that still runs an OFX server, and any statement you can export as OFX or QFX. Brokers: whatever your server is connected to - today that is Interactive Brokers, with a live and a paper account side by side.
What do I need to run it?+
An iPhone on iOS 26 or later, and a running Vritam server you can reach from the phone - on your home network, over a VPN, or on a host you expose yourself.
Is it on the App Store?+
Not yet. Manu is in private beta. Ask for access and you will get a TestFlight invite when a seat opens.
What does it cost?+
Nothing while it is in beta.
